Opportunity to join a CMDA member looking for a like-minded OB/Gyn to join this practice.  This is a collaborative OB/Gyn and midwifery practice that has worked together since 2019, but independently since 2024. They believe in evidence-based, structured care centered around most current guidelines and evidence, while respecting the autonomy of their patients to make their own medical decisions. They also value close teamwork between all of their providers and staff. They value the concept of midwifery care for as many normal pregnant women as possible, with easily access to physician care (more similar to the UK structure). They have also found value of midwifery input into more complicated pregnancies as well.  An ob/gyn candidate would be only the second ob/gyn for the group, but several factors help dramatically with the call burden: First, the CNMs take first call for all the labors, meaning the physicians are only backup call for complications or c-sections. Second, the hospital has an OB Hospitalist program, so there is always an in-house ob/gyn that can provide support.
