Description:
Hospital owned practice in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley seeking a Family Medicine physician with Surgical Obstetrics (FM with OB also considered). Newly formed practice with 3 physicians and 2 advanced practitioners. Both inpatient and outpatient medicine is required. Will consider either full or part-time providers. Physician would average 18 patients per day and approximately 40 deliveries annually.
We are committed to education, hosting residents and medical students (we are a longitudinal site for University of Colorado medical students, and a rural rotation for Colorado Family Medicine residents).
Philosophy:
We are a community-based hospital and clinic, with a local board of directors. The hospital was founded by Mennonites in 1927, later transitioned to its current form of leadership. While the institution is not faith-based, several physicians/providers in the practice are Christians who have been active in international missions and local ministry. We view our medical practice / profession as part of our Biblical mandate to administer justice and show mercy to those around us. We enjoy loving and caring for the whole person, and when the patient consents, to pray with them as a part of their healing process. We believe we are the hands and feet of Jesus in our communities.
